Fezziwig’s new incarnation

The 16th annual production of Wolfville’s Fezziwig Society will present a hilarious Britishstyle pantomine for family audiences from Nov. 18-20. Halifax actor and producer Jeremy Webb was commissioned to craft a brand new take on the familiar fairy tale story and producer Pat Salmon says he has delivered a very entertaining script. Well-known local performers Ray Baltzer and Sherry Bishop have taken on the roles of Cinderella’s father and the delightful fairy godmother. Both will be familiar to Fezziwig audiences. The circumstances of life are not always kind. A pair of one-act plays exploring this theme are being presented at Studio-Z, upstairs at the Al Whittle Theatre November 4th and 5th. “Compassion,” is an awardwinning play about lives shattered and lives rejuvenated. Celtic jazz harpist Johanne McInnis’ environmental awareness production in Wolfville and Grand Pre will take us on a musical journey through a day of our lives in which humanity and nature intertwine. McInnis, aware of the needs around us, will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Newfoundland Relief Fund.
