Famed Newfoundland trio Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers will play at Mermaid Imperial Performing Arts Centre (MIPAC) this weekend. The boys bring their popular evening of music and comedy to MIPAC, at 106 Gerrish Street in Windsor, on Sunday, April 10 @ 7pm.
The trio of Kevin Blackmore, Wayne Chaulk and Ray Johnson have been together for over 20 years and have produced nearly as many albums in that time. Their act, containing a blend of Newfoundland humour and folk songs, has toured extensively throughout the Atlantic Provinces and other Canadian cities. Whether singing a serious traditional folk tune or telling jokes while playing a garbage bag as a musical instrument, Buddy and the boys bring a truly unique evening of Canadiana wherever they perform.
Mermaid Imperial Performing Arts Center is proud to welcome back Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers for our 2010/2011 MIPAC Entertainment Series. For the past three seasons, MIPAC has been committed to bringing top quality entertainment to the elegant restored facility known for many years as Windsor’s Imperial Theatre.
This is a reserved-seating show for $35 ($33 for students and seniors) and available at Moe’s Place Music Sales, 129 Gerrish St, Windsor, NS (798–5565).
