Local Ideas for Valentine’s Day

We asked our readers to tell us their creative ideas for spending Valentine’s Day in the Valley. Here is what we heard back:

Snowshoeing at Crystal Falls, followed by dinner at Pascalice’s Bistro in Greenwood.

Cat cuddling at the Wolfville Animal Shelter.

Have your own vintage fashion show at Retro Runway.

Check out the tasting bar at the Annapolis Cider Company.

Make it a yoga date! There are several studios and classes throughout the valley.

Snowshoe Adventure! Rentals are available at We’re Outside in Wolfville,or at Valley Stove & Cycle in Kentville.

Catch the Lone Star Love Potion playing at CentreStage before Feb 11th!

Skating on Miner’s Marsh, then hot chocolate at T.A.N. or Half Acre Cafe.

Take a hike! Our reccomendation: Reservoir Park in Wolfville, or Kentville’s Gorge.

Get crafty at Wolfville’s Clayground or the Berwick Makery.

Dinner out is the classic choice, and you’ve certainly got lots of restaurants to choose from. Port Williams has The Noodle Guy, and in Wolfville, Troy Restaurant recently won The Grapevine’s Best of the Bunch ‘Best Place to go on a Date’.

A liquor tasting at the Barrelling Tide Distillery, then a beer tasting at Wayfarers’ Ale, ending with Open Mic at The Port Pub.

Skiing at Martock, followed by a flight of beer at Schoolhouse Brewery, then an intimate dinner at Cocoa Pesto.

Looking for somewhere cozy for a coffee date, or perhaps a spot to cozy up with a book and spend a quiet moment to yourself? If there’s one thing this valley isn’t lacking, it’s awesome coffee shops. T.A.N. Coffee recently won our ‘Best Café’ Best of the Bunch award and they’ve got locations in  Coldbrook, Kentville, Wolfville, and Windsor.

Movie Night! Cinematopia in Woflville has got a great selection.

Take a bus ride! Kings Transit makes trips up and down the valley all day long. Hitch a ride and let the scenery of the valley be the backdrop to your day.
