Two Planks and a Passion has been nominated for eleven Theatre Nova Scotia Robert Merritt Awards! Included in the impressive list are nominations for outstanding production, direction, new play, costume design, musical direction, score and various performance-specific categories. The winners will be announced on March 25 at the Robert Merritt Award gala.
Eleven community groups in Eastern Kings have received funding from the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the Department of Health and Wellness for projects that support local health priorities. The successful 2019 Community Health Board Wellness Fund projects and recipients included Suicide Prevention & Life Promotion Summit – Acadia Mental Health Initiative, Food Cupboard – Acadia Students Union, “Family Connections†Course – AV Caring for Loved Ones with an Eating Disorder, SOUP Program – Canadian Mental Health Association, CHANGE – Children’s Health & Nutritional Growth Experience, Girls on Snowboards – Girls on Boards, Fit 4 Life Youth Wellness Workshops – Port Williams Recreation, Acadia/Wolfville Active Kids Exercise (AWAKE) – Town of Wolfville, Foods of the World Open Oven Days – Wolfville Community Oven.
