What type of content can I submit?
We welcome editorial content that celebrates arts, culture, and community. This includes:
- Poetry and creative writing
- Visual art and photography
- Event photos and highlights
- Community stories and news
- Local announcements
- Fun games, comics, and caricatures

Will my submission be published?
While we strive to include all community submissions, space limitations, timeliness, and editorial considerations may prevent us from publishing everything we receive. We do our best to showcase a balance of voices, events, and stories in each issue.

What type of content is not accepted?
We aim to keep our publication upbeat and supportive of the community, therefore we do not publish content that is critical of local businesses, individuals, or organizations. We do not publish promotional content, including:
- Advertisements or classifieds (If you wish to advertise or submit a classified please see our advertising pricing located here.)
- Coupons
- Articles promoting a specific business, product, or service
- Medical advice that could contradict an individual’s healthcare provider
What is the word count limit?
We encourage submissions of up to 500 words maximum. Articles longer than this are less likely to be published, and we reserve the right to edit submissions for content and length.
Can I include photos?
Yes, up to two photos per article are accepted. If you do not have a photo, we can include a stock image. Note that adding photos may affect the space allocated to your article.

What is the submission deadline?
Submissions are due by the 3rd Monday of each month. If this falls on a statutory holiday or weekend, the deadline rolls to the next business day. Early submissions are appreciated. You can view all our deadlines for the year here.
Is there any compensation for submissions?
At this time, we are unable to offer compensation. However, if an author is associated with a local business, we are happy to include their business name at the bottom of the article.
