Wanda Needs Your Help

A benefit concert is slated for Sunday, April 14 to aid a Sunken Lake resident with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Wanda (Brown) Redden was recently diagnosed with ALS, which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It causes the death of neurons controlling voluntary muscles.

Entertainment is being contributed by Rob Brown, Chet Brown, John Snyder, David Guptill, Ruth Manning, and Graham Moorehead and Make Mine Country.

The fundraiser, which is sponsored by the Fuller Family Farm, will take place at the Louis Millett Centre in New Minas. Organizers are setting up a canteen, raffles, a bake table, and a 50/50.

Admission is $8. Showtime is 2pm, but the doors will open an hour earlier. Sound services are being donated by David Guptill.

All proceeds from the afternoon will go toward a wheelchair, ramps, and home improvements for maintaining a quality of life.
