Nature Speaks… Beyond Appearances… Seeing Sounds… Hearing Images…

Celtic jazz harpist Johanne McInnis’ environmental awareness production in Wolfville and Grand Pre will take us on a musical journey through a day of our lives in which humanity and nature intertwine.

McInnis, aware of the needs around us, will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Newfoundland Relief Fund. The Show will use the sounds of harp, bass, percussion, keyboard and voice to play with the colours of sounds. Scenes from nature will be projected on screen. This show is a culmination of the artists’ vision and belief in the power of art as a catalyst to affect social issues. Johanne McInnis has performed for a decade with: Bernard Riche, a jazz percussion performer who studied in France at the Conservatory Bourget and the Paris School of Percussion. He played and recorded with the Istanbul Jazz Orchestra, Italian Banda Jazz, and Manny Gomez trio. In 2010 became a jazz festival organizer with D’art de Richmond Renaud Labelle has performed world-wide as a musical director and bass player. When not on the Queen Mary II, he is on tour with McInnis or playing bass in the Chicoutimi Symphonic Orchestra of Quebec. Renaud studied bass at Laval University and with the jazz bass player Michel Donato in Montreal. A musician for more than 40 years, Claude Véziau plays keyboard. Véziau was a full time street performer for the tourism industry in Québec and Montréal. He is a composer/writer who records independent artists.
